drain lining & no dig pipe lining in devon & cornwall

Repair damaged drains without the need for excavation

Damaged drainage doesn’t always mean digging up driveways, gardens or floors.

At PM Groundworks & Drainage, we provide professional drain lining and pipe relining solutions across Plymouth, Tavistock, Devon and Cornwall. Using modern resin and UV curing technology, we can repair suitable damaged pipework from the inside, creating a strong new lining within the existing drain.

This no-dig approach can provide an effective alternative to traditional excavation and pipe replacement, helping to reduce disruption, mess and the time needed to complete repairs.

WHAT IS DRAIN LINING?

Drain lining, also known as pipe relining or cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, is a trenchless method of repairing damaged drainage pipes.

Rather than excavating and removing the existing pipe, a specialist resin liner is installed inside the damaged section. The liner is positioned against the internal walls of the existing pipe before being cured to create a strong, durable new surface within it.

Depending on the system and requirements of the pipework, the liner can be cured using UV technology or specialist resin curing methods.

Once complete, the lining helps restore the integrity of the existing drain without the extensive excavation normally associated with traditional pipe repairs.

When can drain lining be used?

Drain relining can be suitable for a wide range of drainage problems, including:

  • Cracked or fractured drainage pipes

  • Leaking pipe joints

  • Root intrusion and damage

  • Ageing or deteriorating pipework

  • Sections of pipe that are difficult to excavate

  • Pipes beneath driveways, patios or landscaped areas

  • Pipes running beneath buildings or other structures

  • Recurring drainage problems caused by damaged pipework

Before recommending lining, we can inspect the drainage system to understand the condition of the pipe and determine whether relining or a traditional repair is the most appropriate solution.

why choose drain lining?

Where the existing pipe is suitable, drain lining can offer several advantages over traditional excavation and replacement.

LESS Excavation

Repairing the pipe internally can avoid the need to dig long trenches through gardens, driveways, patios and other surfaces.

Suitable for difficult-to-access pipes

Lining can be particularly useful where damaged drains run beneath buildings, driveways, landscaping or other areas where conventional excavation would be difficult.

efficient repairs

Modern lining and curing systems allow damaged sections of drainage to be repaired efficiently without removing the entire existing pipe.

minimal disruption

With less excavation required, drain lining can reduce the disruption associated with repairing underground drainage.

long term drainage solution

Once cured, the liner creates a strong new internal surface within the existing pipe, helping to restore its integrity and extend its usable life.

drain lining or pipe replacement?

We’ll recommend the right solution for your drainage system

Drain lining is a highly effective repair method, but it isn’t suitable for every damaged pipe.

If a drain has completely collapsed, is severely displaced or has other significant structural problems, excavation and replacement may still be necessary.

With extensive experience in drainage repairs, CCTV inspections, excavation and pipe replacement, PM Groundworks & Drainage can assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate solution rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether your drainage can be repaired using no-dig pipe lining or requires a traditional replacement, we can provide clear advice on the best way forward.
